The climate is changing, and rapidly. The warmest summers in Austria were all in the recent past. If the operation of buildings is to be both climate-neutral and affordable in the coming decades, the construction industry will have to devote more attention to the issue of climate-friendly construction.
Active cooling technologies only come into play when passive measures are not sufficient to create a comfortable indoor climate. There are various ways of further reducing the remaining cooling requirement. In future, systems that can heat and cool, such as thermal component activation, will be in demand.
