Plastered 50 bricks, oak, concrete, little steel, glass - high-quality materials and simple construction make the monolithic single-family house robust and durable. The roof is sloped 15°, the building has no basement. Also: as little building services as possible.
Heating is provided by a brine-to-water heat pump with underfloor heating. A solar system is used to heat water, while brick masonry and reinforced concrete ceilings serve as storage masses. Due to their sluggish temperature behavior, they counteract rapid cooling and overheating in summer. Controlled ventilation is not used.
