The individual volumes are predominantly glazed at their gable ends, while roof surfaces and external walls are finished in anthracite and insulated with a 16 cm layer of mineral wool. Heating and cooling are provided by a groundwater heat pump. Thermal conditioning of the interior spaces is supported by thermally activated building elements, using the building’s massive components for heat and cold distribution. Building services are integrated into the load-bearing structure, largely avoiding visually dominant technical installations.
